Skills and Leadership Category

Question: Write an essay on the skills and Leadership category. Answer: Listening is an important skill which helps a leader to lead a team effectively. Listening helps a leader to know about the different problems which an employee or customer feels about a product or the organization (Three Skills CEOs Need Most, 2016). Through proper listening, the leader can solve the problems. Observing is also another important skill which a leader should have to control different actions in an organization effectively. Observation helps a leader to come out with innovative ideas (Three Skills CEOs Need Most, 2016). Sensing is another skill in improving the quality of a leader. Sensing helps a leader to find out the positive and negative actions which are taking place around him or her. I lack in listening skills because often a miscommunication happens in listening. This is created because of wrong interpretation of the ideas. Often ideas are presented in a critical way. Therefore, the idea which someone is presenting gets changed and creates a problem. Along with these, I am an autocratic leader and who loves dictating others. I lack in observation because of the absence of good listening skills. I am a curious person who tries to observe the behavior of the different individuals and this often creates a problem. I always try to come up with innovative products but it often becomes unrealistic. This is because others do not think the same way as I think. Office colleagues have been able to identify my shortcomings through my different actions. Often I take decisions which are not compatible with the present scenario (Lafley, 2009). Moreover, my autocratic nature also creates dissatisfaction among other employees. This often makes them jealous of me and they in turn try to find my flaws.
